Start a group for tonight, not forever. Friends see each other on a live map while you're out — and when the group expires, shared location is deleted. No parents, no permanent tracking.
One-tap SOS
A big, unmissable button that texts your emergency contacts your name, time, and live location. They don't need the app. It alerts your people — it doesn't call 911.
Student-reported venue reviews
Safety ratings and tags from verified .edu students — well-lit, watched drinks, staff helped, felt unsafe. Know before you go, from people who were actually there.
Safe Walk Home
Pick your destination and let your group watch the walk. Drift off route or stop too long, and your people get a heads-up. Make it home, and it tells them that too.

Why I made it
A note from the founder
I'm Kahlil — a marketing major at Fort Lewis College and the founder of Hangxiety.
I love a good night out. I love hosting, I love my friends, and I don't think any of that should come with a knot in your stomach — during the walk home, or the morning after.
When I surveyed students on my campus, 87% had experienced or witnessed unsafe behavior in nightlife settings, and 80% had left a venue because it felt unsafe. But here's the thing: everyone I know already improvises this app. Pins in the group chat. “Text me when you're home.” Watching each other's drinks. Hangxiety just takes the thing we already do for each other and makes it faster, calmer, and built in.
